The Problem
The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) was receiving more early childhood professional credentialing (ECPC) and external training (ET) applications than they were able to keep up with, resulting in a 6+ month turnaround time. They were seeking an innovative and experienced partner to not only alleviate the ever-growing backlog of applications, but to optimize the program processes and provide a more efficient path to reviewing applications.
The Solution
The MetrixIQ team began work in April of 2023 and spent roughly 6 weeks being trained in CDEC’s technology systems and processes. A team of 4 dedicated staff members was able to replace nearly 30 state employees that had been supporting the program part time in addition to a team of temporary employees. The team was able to completely deplete the backlog and reduce the turnaround time to one week within 5 months of contract execution.
Metrix’s solution focused on:
The MetrixIQ team maintains an average accuracy rate or 99% which is tracked and monitored through internal and external measures. CDEC conducts a monthly audit of applications processed, the results of which are frequently 100% accurate. Additionally all applications are quality checked by a secondary member of the team with an additional 10% going through a 3rd review by the team supervisor.
